comply with the new F-Gas Regulations and be able to handle refrigerants
safely and competently will find this course invaluable. The environmental and legal
implications regarding Safe Refrigerant Handling makes this course essential
for persons directly or indirectly connected with refrigerants e.g.
designers, managers, installers, service and maintenance engineers,
non-refrigeration engineers wishing to cross train, etc. Experienced refrigeration
engineers who are familiar and competent with Pressure Enthalpy diagrams (ph
charts) and who know the basic principles (thermodynamics) of the vapour compression
system will still need this qualification. This minimum legal qualification
will be required by all engineers working on a variety of system sizes (no
charge limit) if they carry out service, maintenance, installation,
commissioning, recovery or leak checking. What
will be gained by you? By undertaking the course,
successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the
legal and environmental requirements of the regulations and will be able to
demonstrate the application of practical skills to successfully fabricate and
examine pipe work, undertake pressure testing, evacuation and record
completion, refrigerant charging, leak checking and record keeping, and
recovery of refrigerants and oil and preparation for disposal. Successful candidates will
be qualified to undertake leak checking, recovery, installation, service and
maintenance of equipment. The examination /
assessment takes part on the same day and the cost is £295 plus VAT, which
includes all registration, course materials, result fees and certification. |
