Note this qualification does NOT have an expiry date

Candidates who wish to comply with the new F-Gas Regulations and be able to handle refrigerants safely and competently will find this course invaluable.

The environmental and legal implications regarding Safe Refrigerant Handling makes this course essential for persons directly or indirectly connected with refrigerants e.g. designers, managers, installers, service and maintenance engineers, non-refrigeration engineers wishing to cross train, etc.

Experienced refrigeration engineers who are familiar and competent with Pressure Enthalpy diagrams (ph charts) and who know the basic principles (thermodynamics) of the vapour compression system will still need this qualification. This minimum legal qualification will be required by all engineers working on a variety of system sizes (no charge limit) if they carry out service, maintenance, installation, commissioning, recovery or leak checking.

What will be gained by you?

By undertaking the course, successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the legal and environmental requirements of the regulations and will be able to demonstrate the application of practical skills to successfully fabricate and examine pipe work, undertake pressure testing, evacuation and record completion, refrigerant charging, leak checking and record keeping, and recovery of refrigerants and oil and preparation for disposal.

Successful candidates will be qualified to undertake leak checking, recovery, installation, service and maintenance of equipment.
